The impact kindness has on our relationships
“Before you know what kindness really is, you must lose things and feel the future dissolve in a moment. Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside, you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing. You must wake up with sorrow. Then, it is only kindness that makes sense anymore.” – Naomi Shihab Nye

But actually, if that is missing in your relationship to yourself and to others, its antithesis – sadness – takes over and controls our every move. And it’s not a nice feeling, right? We all want to be happier instead, and we can achieve that by learning to be kind to ourselves and to those around us.
